Beau Bennett scored twice for the Penticton Vees on Saturday evening, keying a 3-1 road victory over the Burnaby Express.

James Bettauer put Burnaby ahead on a first period power play, converting a Colby Kulhanek feed past Joel Rumpel. The special teams battle continued in the second frame, with Isaac Macleod and Bennett each taking advantage of Express penalties to give the Vees the lead.

Penticton held the Express to just six shots in the third period, and Bennett iced the game with just over a minute remaining on regulation when he scored into an empty net.

Rumpel was named the game's first star after turning aside 21 shots, while Harrison May took the hard-luck loss after facing 21 Vees' shots.

The Express close out the weekend against the Vernon Vipers on Sunday afternoon, while the Vees return home to face the Williams Lake Timberwolves at the South Okanagan Events Centre on Friday evening.
